This approach is dedicated to identifying meaningful strategies that address your child's deepest needs. It involves learning to support your child's emotional and sensory regulation, enhancing their communication, and fostering effective coping skills.
In short, it means finding ways to reduce or eliminate things like tantrums, hitting, and defiance, without ever using punishments or bribes.
The journey of parenting a neurodivergent child can be filled with unique challenges and uncertainties.
Many parents find themselves facing difficulties that can feel isolating and overwhelming.
These challenges often include
Frustration with Traditional Techniques: Many parents of neurodivergent children experience frustration when traditional parenting techniques or interventions don't seem to work as expected. What may work for neurotypical children may not be effective for neurodivergent children, leading to feelings of helplessness and confusion.
Feeling Isolated: Parents may often feel like they are navigating uncharted territory, especially when their friends or family members do not have experience raising neurodivergent children. This sense of isolation can exacerbate feelings of inadequacy and uncertainty about how to best support their child.
Comparison and Self-Doubt: It's common for parents to compare their experiences to those of others, leading to feelings of inadequacy or self-doubt. Seeing friends' children reach developmental milestones or behave in certain ways can leave parents questioning their own abilities and feeling like they are falling short.
Lack of Affirming Support: Many parents report feeling disheartened by the lack of affirming support from professionals and service providers. They may encounter professionals who approach neurodiversity from a deficit-based perspective rather than recognizing and celebrating their child's unique strengths and abilities.
After over a decade in practice, and my own ADHD diagnosis, I recognize the struggles that parents of neurodivergent children may encounter and am here to provide the understanding, support, and guidance you deserve.

Absolutely! Many families have more than one child who may need support, and I’m happy to work with you to create strategies that benefit your entire family. Whether each child has unique challenges or similar ones, we’ll tailor our approach to ensure that everyone’s needs are addressed. Sibling dynamics can also be a part of the plan to foster cooperation and positive interactions at home. Let’s discuss how we can best support each of your children during our consultation!
While we can't predict specific outcomes with certainty, I can promise that we’ll work together to develop personalized strategies based on your child’s unique needs and your family’s goals. Every child and family is different, and progress can take time. However, my approach is designed to be adaptable, so we can continuously adjust our plan to find what works best. (And so far, that means 100% of clients have seen improvements)
While long-term change takes time, I always aim to provide strategies in our first session that help reduce your child’s stress and meet their needs. These initial adjustments often lead to fewer big behaviors early on. From there, we’ll continue to refine our approach to ensure lasting, meaningful progress for your child and family.
Yes, you can! Single sessions are available and billed at a rate of $195 per hour. Keep in mind that the hourly rates in each package are lower (the longer the package the lower the rate) so choosing a package may offer more value if you’re seeking ongoing support. Feel free to reach out, and we can discuss the best option for your family’s needs!
I choose not to work with insurance so I can provide the most individualized and effective support possible without being limited by what an insurance company deems “medically necessary.” Operating outside of insurance allows us to focus on your goals, not just diagnoses or checklists. It means we can collaborate on services that are proactive, holistic, and flexible rather than reactive or narrowly defined. This gives us the freedom to address real-life challenges in meaningful ways, without being bound to specific time limits, treatment codes, or documentation requirements that often don't align with what actually helps families thrive. I’m happy to provide you with a Superbill that you can submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement. Additionally, sessions are typically reimbursable through a Health Savings Account (HSA), making it easier for families to manage the cost of services. Please feel free to ask if you have any questions about billing!
I strive to be flexible with scheduling to accommodate your family’s needs. While my primary hours are 8am-6pm Central, M-F I do offer some evening and weekend slots. Please reach out to discuss availability, and I’ll do my best to find a time that works for you.
