For the Kids Who Have Been Misunderstood,

and the Grown-Ups Who Have Tried Everything

Some kids need more than just a smaller class or a new curriculum. Just because traditional classrooms haven’t met their needs doesn’t mean they don’t want to learn or aren’t capable of growth. Too often, the system fails to recognize the unique ways some children experience and engage with the world. They need to feel safe, understood, and accepted exactly as they are.

If your child has big feelings, strong behaviors, or a unique way of navigating the world, you’ve probably tried a lot already. Maybe nothing has quite worked. Maybe things even felt worse.

At Trauma Free Tree, we believe those kids deserve to feel seen, not fixed. Through on-campus behavior consultation, I help create gentle, effective supports that reduce stress, build trust, and meet students where they are. I also offer direct support for families, including parent consultations and small-group social learning sessions, so you can feel more confident and connected at home too.

Together, we can make space for healing, growth, and belonging, at school and beyond.

So nice to meet you!

Hi there,

I'm so glad you're here.

I’m Jenny Owens, a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and neurodivergent clinician with over 15 years of experience supporting kids with big feelings, strong behaviors, and unique needs. After years providing home and school support, I left traditional clinical settings (and their outdated practices) in order to better align with what truly helps families thrive — a compassionate, individualized approach grounded in safety, autonomy, and connection.

I specialize in working with students who have been misunderstood or harmed by traditional intervention and classroom support methods, including those with ODD and PDA. At Trauma Free Tree, I am honored collaborate with the team to build affirming behavior supports and reimagine social-emotional learning so every child feels seen, respected, and capable of growth.

I’m also excited to offer parent consultations and small-group social learning sessions, and I look forward to talking with you about how I can best support your child both at school and at home.
